Recent Year, The United States leads with an average of 55.5 million skier visits per ski season, indicating a high level of interest in skiing activities. Furthermore, the global participation rate in skiing stands at 14.81%, with significant contributions from regions like Western Europe and an annual participation of 55 million people globally.
Statistics
Participation in team sports among younger children (ages 6-12) has shown signs of rebounding from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, though not yet returning to pre-pandemic levels. In 2021, only 37% of children in this age group played team sports on a regular basis, a slight increase from previous years but still lower than the highest mark of 45% in 2008. This trend suggests a gradual recovery in sports participation, which likely includes skiing as a winter sport option for families.
